Mom's first chemo treatment is Friday. We are all headed to KC to fly to DC. We will be there until Monday.
Little Man is very excited to fly in a plane. He has flown over a dozen times already but not since he was about 15 months old. I asked him if he wanted to take his stuffed puppies Suzie and Demetri and he said yes, and Buzz, Woody and the microphone. I guess he just wants to have all the comforts of home while away...
(He decided it was time to go after bath)
I Don't Care How You Get Here...
You can reach me by railway, you can reach me by trailway
You can reach me on an airplane, you can reach me with your mind
You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab man
I don't care how you get here, just - get here if you can
You can reach me by sail boat, climb a tree and swing rope to rope
Take a sled and slide down the slope, into these arms of mine
You can jump on a speedy colt, cross the border in a blaze of hope
I don't care how you get here, just - get here if you can
There are hills and mountains between us
Always something to get over
If I had my way, surely you would be closer
I need you closer
You can windsurf into my life, take me up on a carpet ride
You can make it in a big balloon, but you better make it soon
You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab man
I don't care how you get here, just - get here if you can
I don't care how you get here, just -- get here if - you can.

I wish your family all the best! I know I've said it before, but my mom is a breast cancer survivor - you can beat it!
Wishing you the best!
all the best of luck.
I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she handles the chemo with flying colors.
On the up side: the ear tubes will make flying a breeze for Little Man!
Take care.
Joeprah Best Wishes and Prayers to you and yours!
I'll be thinking of you. I hope all goes well with mom--love to her and your family. You take care and have a safe trip.
Good, happy, positive thoughts!!!
Found your blog via "Two Write Hands". I walked with my dad through two bouts of cancer and my mom (currently) through Multiple Sclerosis. The journey is long, and wrought with challenge...but so worth it.
Go boldly, prayerfully, and humbly.
Grace,
Madison Richards
Best wishes and have a safe trip.
i guess he who hesitates is lost, according to your poem, we have no time to waste, but when you get my age, you tend to put your head under a pillow so the world can whiz by..prayers are with your mom
Safe travels and good wishes.
I'm sending prayers and well wishes for your mom. She is very beautiful!
